Chanukah in Real Time: Living Torah Museum @ Ohr Torah

November 21 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Ohr Torah of Cincinnati is excited to invite you to a Historic Chanukah Presentation “Chanukah in Real-Time” that will take you back over two and one half centuries. The presentation will be made by the curator of the Living Torah Museum, Rabbi Shaul Dovid Deustch. Rabbi Deutsch will be bringing many of the museum artifacts for you to hold, see, and touch and share some of his vast knowledge of Jewish history.

The presentation will bring to life Jewish observance during the second Bais Hamikdash and offer fascinating facts and explanations about the period of the Chasmonaem (Maccabees). Did you ever wish you could be there? You can -almost!

  • Hold and spin a dreidel that predates the Chanukah story!
  • Hold the oldest Chanukah menorah in the world, one that was lit when the holiday of Chanukah was first celebrated.
  • See coins minted by Antiochis and stamped with his picture.
