Chelsea Milligan
Lead General Studies Teacher

Overview

Ms. Milligan is thrilled to be starting her second year at OTC as the Upper Elementary Lead General Studies teacher! Her Montessori journey began around nine years ago after discovering this educational pedagogy as an undergraduate student at Miami University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology and Italian Studies. Then, in 2015, she received her master’s degree in Montessori Education from Xavier University with a 6-9 credential and Ohio state teaching license for K-3. After working as a Lower Elementary lead teacher in a CPS Montessori school for two years, she made the decision to pursue further training in the Upper Elementary curriculum and join the flourishing program at OTC! Ms. Milligan is passionate about igniting the fire of learning for her students, and loves to incorporate as many hands-on, experiential, and multi-sensory materials as possible into her lessons. Whenever the weather permits, she also loves taking the classroom learning outside! When not at school, Ms. Milligan is an avid pie-baker, traveller, and outdoor adventurer. She enjoys spending time with her cat and chicken, and reading books.
